The Music gallery contains various tracks that I have created over the last few years. I try to capture a certain sound or vibe with every song I create. I play all of the instruments on most of these tracks. I enjoy the challenge of breaking down a song, learning each part and applying my own style to the recordings. This gives me the ability to go from concept to final mix quickly. The objective is not always to create highly polished slick tracks. Capturing the raw energy of a great performance, flaws and all, is more interesting to me.
I tend to work with vocalists and song writers, and having other musicians join me on some recent tracks has been great. I'm looking forward to doing more collaborations with musicians and singers.
Three musicians that have had the most influence on me and continue to inspire me today: Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Nile Rogers. Click Here to go to my special tribute page where I spin my favourite songs by each artist.
This gallery features collaborations with Theresa Smith on vocals and Liz Lulu joining us on bass for some of the funky tunes. These recordings were done in 2013 and 2014 at the new studio.
The idea behind this collaboration was to cover some iconic songs that we enjoyed playing live. I tried to capture the essence or vibe of each song in feel and tonal characteristics from the originals, while applying my own style to the instrumentation.
The concept was to produce tracks that captured the feel and energy of playing live rather than a perfectly polished studio track.
This gallery contains one classic song, featuring an incredible vocal performance by Caroline Wlikins.
Caroline wanted to record a classic Jimi Hendrix song that she had been singing live. I was a little reluctant. It's such a classic Jimi tune, it had to be done just right. We decided to keep it really raw, like it was being played live. It's mostly all first takes, there is very little 'processing.' I wanted it to sound like it was recoded live off the stage.

I got involved with Hip Hop a few years ago. I teamed up with Toronto Spoken Word artist Belladonna to create a CD of original material. The CD "Off My Chest" was released in 2005. It is available on iTunes.
The gallery features 3 original songs from the CD that Belladonna and I co-wrote as 'studio' material. The rest of the CD features The Awakening, Belladonna's band.
